Description: The Magellan Scholar program was created to enrich the academic experience of USC's undergraduates through research opportunities in all disciplines from science, technology, and medicine to theatre, music, and art. By providing access to faculty mentoring relationships and a professional research experience, this program enables students to creatively explore their interests at a more in-depth level than can be attained in the classroom. The Magellan Scholar program provides opportunities for undergraduates to build a competitive edge in the job market.

Applicants are REQUIRED to attend ONE of the following applications workshops. All workshops are held in Russell House 304.

Tuesday, Sept. 4th at 4pm
Wednesday, Sept. 5th at 4pm
Thursday, Sept. 6th at Noon and 5pm

Deadline: Proposals must be submitted by the faculty mentor through USCeRA and APPROVED by the mentor’s chair, dean and/or chancellor before 5pm on September 27, 2007 (for projects beginning in Spring) and February 14, 2008 (for projects beginning in Summer or Fall)
