The Office of Research and Economic Development intends to offer the Research Opportunity Program in Spring 2009.  These internal grant funds are provided to encourage faculty to develop individual research projects leading to the pursuit of external funding sources or the promotion of scholarly activities.  The University of South Carolina makes strategic investments in its faculty through a variety of internal funding mechanisms and these programs are continually adjusted to best serve faculty and institutional interests.  More detailed information including the application procedure, funds available and deadline will be made available early in 2009.
